Hero Strategy
Big camp needs to be open for pulling as the lane will push often due to Death Pulse.
Necrophos typically wins the lane off of his sustain. Last hitting needs to be on point.
Do multiple things with Death Pulse at the same time - secure last hit, harass opponents and heal an ally.
Mess around with opponents last hitting by healing the creeps and damaging opponents at the same time.
Keep yourself close enough to opponents for Heartstopper Aura to damage them.
If in trouble, pop Ghost Shroud and then any healing you might have. You can potentially teleport out.
Ghost Shroud makes you vulnerable to magical damage so you typically need an early Cloak.
Healing reductions and silences are a big problem for Necrophos. Itemize against those and adjust playstyle.
Look to score a kill at the beginning of the fight as you'll be considerably harder to kill afterwards.
Ghost Shroud has no effect during Black King Bar.
Pick up Aghanims Shard at the 15 minute mark as it provides gap close and farming speed.
Counter Strategy
To counter Necrophos' healing and regeneration, someone should buy Spirit Vessel
Burst Necrophos down, so he can't last hit creeps and regain HP and mana with Heartstopper Aura.
Necrophos takes increased magical damage under Ghost Shroud.
Against Necrophos, keep your health above 60% to avoid being killed by Reaper's Scythe.
Against Necrophos, magic resistance and spell immunity items are great.
Against Necrophos, items that reduce healing and regeneration are good.
